Absorbable Dental Sutures
Absorbable sutures that are commonly used by dentists in the oral surgery are divided into two groups as monofilament and multifilament.
-
Fastlak Dental Suture – 4/0 – 19 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – FL2639
Fastlak suture is flexible, synthetic, fast absorbable, sterile surgical suture consisting of copolymer synthesised from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (gylcolide and lactide acid derivatives).
-
Fastlak Dental Suture – 5/0 – 16 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – FL2019
Fastlak suture is flexible, synthetic, fast absorbable, sterile surgical suture consisting of copolymer synthesised from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (gylcolide and lactide acid derivatives).
-
Glikolak – 3/0 – 16 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – GL3025
Glikolak dental sutures are synthetic, stripped, absorbable, sterile and multifilament (braided) surgical sutures manufactured from polyglycolide and lactide to be used in the oral, dental and maxillary surgery.
-
Glikolak – 3/0 – 19 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – GL3109
Glikolak dental sutures are synthetic, stripped, absorbable, sterile and multifilament (braided) surgical sutures manufactured from polyglycolide and lactide to be used in the oral, dental and maxillary surgery.
-
Glikolak – 4/0 – 16 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – GL2540
Glikolak dental sutures are synthetic, stripped, absorbable, sterile and multifilament (braided) surgical sutures manufactured from polyglycolide and lactide to be used in the oral, dental and maxillary surgery.

Glikolak – 5/0 – 16 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – GL2021
Glikolak dental sutures are synthetic, stripped, absorbable, sterile and multifilament (braided) surgical sutures manufactured from polyglycolide and lactide to be used in the oral, dental and maxillary surgery.
-
Monokaprol – 4/0 – 19 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – MK2639
Monokaprol is a short-term absorbable, monofilament suture from poly (glycolide-co-caprolactone).
-
Monokaprol – 5/0 – 16 mm – 3/8 Reverse Cutting – 75 cm – MK2019
Monokaprol is a short-term absorbable, monofilament suture from poly (glycolide-co-caprolactone).
Absorbable dental surgical sutures are commonly preferred by dentists in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery and these are self-dissolving surgical sutures as the body absorbs these sutures with hydrolysis or enzymatic ways after gum or jaw surgeries in the oral region.
Absorbable dental surgical sutures are divided into two in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery as multifilament and monofilament. Monofilament dental sutures consist of one thread (strong) while multifilament sutures have braided structure with multiple fibres. Therefore, monofilament sutures have lower risks to cause tissue reactions and microbial colonization compared to multifilament sutures but the nodes of the multifilament sutures are stronger and do not lose easily.
