Non-absorbable surgical suture polyamide (PA) Monamid consists of nylon 6 or nylon 6.6. long-chained aliphatic polymer chains, has monofilament structure which means it consists of a single thread (string), has blue colour but also have black or colourless options. Polyamide (PA) surgical sutures sterilized with EO (Ethylene Oxide) are packed in aluminium packages with our without needle.

These are commonly used for extracting the wisdom teeth in oral, dental and maxillofacial, periodontal interventions for gum diseases and removing the lip-tongue connection with frenectomy to connect the tissues.

Monamid surgical sutures are accepted as non-absorbable surgical sutures in the American Pharmacopoeia and the European Pharmacopoeia and meets all the requirements in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery.
